Description

The 20 Austrian Corona Coin holds significant historical importance. Minted in Austria between 1892 and 1916, it came into existence during the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I, the longest-reigning Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary. The historical significance of these coins is closely tied to the Austro-Hungarian Empire’s rich history. They contain approximately 0.1960 Troy ounces of gold, featuring .900 fine gold. The obverse side of the coin depicts a right-facing profile of Franz Joseph I, while the reverse showcases the crowned arms of Austria. After the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire post World War I, these coins were no longer minted but remain a favourite among collectors.
